Bagpipers and Fire Engines = St. Patrick's Day Parade

What else would it be??

As Spring might, and that is a big might, have sprung here we decided to take advantage of a beautiful Saturday and celebrate St. Patrick's Day a bit early by going to the St. Patrick's Day parade in Hoboken, NJ.

Like last you we took the Light Rail in (only a nine minute ride with free parking) and this time we got on the right train. Last year we did not and it was a big mess. Anyway, off we went to celebrate with the other "Irish" and celebrate we did.

Getting off the Light Rail

Bag Pipers - which were Daniel's favorite. That's my Irish Boy!!

Despite being a bit loud, Daniel enjoyed the fire engines as well as the bag pipers, as you can see.

And it would not be a St. Patrick's Day parade without a walking Guinness pint.

A bit of reality TV for you - If you watch TLC's Cake Boss show it is taped in Hoboken. We did have grand plans on going in but the line to get in was around the corner and there was no way Daniel was going to wait - even for a cookie.

And no we don't normally visit reality TV haunts but when in Jersey......
