Already A Distracted Driver.....

Gotta love the one hand on the wheel and the other hand on the phone. And yes, Daniel is getting in touch with his feminine side as it is a Barbie jeep which a co-worker of Mike's found on the curb. Nothing was wrong with it and all it really needed was a good washing. Once again, one man's trash is another man's treasure. Despite the fact Daniel looks unsure of it he loves it and has been traveling around the yard all evening.

What's the Saying.....

"It's better to be pissed off then pissed on???" I guess it's works at any age. Good thing it's just pool water and he was having some summertime fun. Gotta love those red duck courtesy of Aunt D.

The "Ears" Have It

I have come to the realization that I would not have been a very good farmer. The reason being is that I have not check our garden in so long that I did not realize that our corn has grown ears. Little ears but ears all the same. Case in point.....

Nor did I realize corn had to be planted in two rows for cross-pollination, which I fix after I planted the four flats of corn I planted from seeds....

But then again, the corn was knee high by the 4th of July depending on whose knees you use....

And who would have thought you had to tend to your garden when the wettest June in six years, followed by the coldest week in July in 12 years? Apparently you do. Luckily, the other items in the garden - even if there are only tomatoes, lettuce, and herbs in there - appear to be growing despite my lack of attention and focus. Thank God the country doesn't depend on me to feed them. If they did, we all be screwed.

Happy 4th of July...

A day late. We hope you had a safe and Happy 4th. Our day is spent watching a parade and some fireworks with friends. Daniel did awesome at both and seemed to really enjoy the fireworks. Of course he sat on Mike's lap watching them cause there is no better place. Here are some photos from yesterday's festivities.....
