Hanging Out in NYC

This past weekend was filled with trips to and fro NYC for Mike's sister, who got married on Saturday. It was a fabulous celebration and one that we were very happy to have been part of. Some of weekend highlights included.......

Daniel spending A LOT of quality time with his new pal Lottie (Mike's sister's dog). And LOVING every minute of it.

Cruising around the city streets in his stroller.

Eating/sleeping through lunch at the New York Metropolitan Club and enjoying the view of Columbus Circle from Mike's cousin's window......

Taking in some traditional NYC sights....

The front of the New York Stock Market, which was taken from the car as we tried to get through traffic.....

And experiencing the beginning of Fleet Week.....

The Birthday Boy!!

Yesterday we celebrated Daniel turning three with balloons, cupcakes, pizza and his friends. What more could a little boy ask for??

The "Birthday Balloon Fairy" came at naptime and left balloons all over his floor and ceiling as a treat. (And yes his room is orange and purple. His choice I might add)

He thoroughly enjoyed having the traditional "Happy Birthday" and not-so-traditional "Happy Birthday Mr. Hood" songs sung to him....

And he made a wish and successfully blew out his candle in one giant blow...

And who needs to use their hands for cupcakes when you can dive right in to your requested purple cupcake with your face.....

All and all he was one Happy Birthday Boy!

Today you are three! Somehow - in a blink of an eye you turned THREE and into this fabulous little man who brings so much laughter, smiles and craziness into our lives. I can not believe how far you have come and how much you have changed and grown in just three short years.






You are an amazing little man who has already proven you are a fighter and very strong willed. Happy Birthday Daniel! May the coming years be happy, healthy and fun for you. We love you!! Enjoy being THREE!!
