What You Never Want to See Around Your House?

Could Spring Be Around the Corner??

Look who was sitting in our tree this morning.....
One Fat Robin!

Don't Mess With Mother Nature.....

And how true that is. Its seems like Mother Nature has had a severe case of PMS this month around the country given the fact that snow has been flying for almost two weeks here. Yes, I know it is winter in the Northeast but come on now. It has been snowing for two days straight here and it is getting a bit ridiculous. I totally have new found respect for everyone who lives in Upstate New York and really snowy states like Minnesota, Wisconsin, etc.

And it is amazing how the effects of winter weather changes you once you own a home. What a different level of worrisome emerges. Take last night for example.....In the span of time that took me to give Daniel a bath, get him ready to go to sleep and then to sleep all this happened...

1) This huge tree limb fell in our front yard. Luckily it landed on Mike's work truck and not own personal vehicles. And yes, we have too much crap to get at least one of our cars in the garage. But Mike is all excited cause it gave him an excuse to get a chainsaw...
2) A tree fell down on our side street...
3) Causing the telephone pole in front of our house to snap and land in another one of our trees. This did give us an amazing light show last night as all the transformers blew at 11:00 p.m......
4) As well as snapping another telephone pole at the back of our house leaving us with power (thankfully) but not the entire neighborhood behind us. It does appear that the pole missed our fence but we shall see once the Power Company shows up and starts to replace the two poles.
5) And the snow continues to come down.
We bought a house, why? And does anyone have some Midol for Mother Nature?

Daniel & Jimmy Buffett

Daniel has once again made the cut and is now appearing on Jimmy Buffett's website (http://www.margartivaville.com/) for the second time in his life in the Parrotthead photos section. To see the photo, visit www.margaritaville.com/index.php?page=pphotos&ga=123. The photo is from last summer when we went out to Jones Beach and "partied" in the parking lot prior to the concert. He is the last photo on the page (number nine), last row.

As you can see he thoroughly enjoyed hanging in his wagon and getting pushed around the parking lot. As it says, he is our "Parrotthead in Training".

Now, what shall we come up with this year for him???? August is just around the corner you know!!

Wordless Wednesday

What We Do on a Snow Day.....

We stay in our jammies all day.....
Especially when it keeps Daddy home from work!
We make "Heart Treats"....
Well Mommy does as Daniel moved onto something else after a couple of tries!
And we watch the snow fall, and fall and fall.....

Big Day Here!!

So the day has finally come. We got the word today that we can reduce Daniel's tube feeding by one full one daily since he is eating so well by mouth these days. YEAH!! So rather than the three he gets daily, he will only get two. In actuality he has been getting two and half these days as we did not want to over feed him since he has been eating like a champ at every meal. This is the first step in getting his G-Tube out permanently.

They did weigh him today and will weigh him again in two weeks to see if he maintains his weight or even gains, which would be awesome. If he does gain or maintains, they will probably once again reduce the liquid feeds by one. What we don't want is a drop in weight. If that happens we will be back to square one.

So let the countdown begin!!
